Basic Engineering Design (FEED)
Front End Engineering Design means basic engineering which is conducted after completion of conceptual design or feasibility design. This stage be applied before start of EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) to figure various process engineering issues and other rough technical matter. FEED will bring estimated investment cost with 40% range accuracy.
FEED package will be delivered as files and document which are usually as main document in basis of bidding for EPC contract. FEED work will be required up to 4 months, and this will be up to 1 year for some complex process. Deliverable list of FEED:

- Design criteria
- Engineering Documents
- Equipment sizing & specification
- Process Flow Diagram
- Process and Instrumentation Diagram
- Line sizing, instrumentation specification

- HAZOP & HAZID report
- Cost Estimation
