JAKARTA, INDONESIA — January 8, 2026 — PT Prosympac Oil & Gas (POG), an Indonesian energy construction firm, has achieved a historic milestone in the national energy sector. The NUSAGASINDO Consortium—comprising PT Sikars Petroleum Nusantara (Lead), PT Seascape Surveys Indonesia, and PT Prosympac Oil & Gas (POG)—has been officially awarded the contract for the Early Production Facility (EPF) for the AKM Field Development by Genting Oil Kasuri Pte. Ltd. (GOKPL).

Valued at USD 59,950,000, the project represents a significant breakthrough in engineering scale. The contract spans a six-year duration, encompassing a two-year construction and fabrication phase, followed by three years of EPF rental operations, and a final year dedicated to demobilization and administrative closure.

This landmark award is distinguished by its record-breaking 300 MMSCFD design capacity, setting a new global benchmark for modular gas flowrates. As a high-priority National Strategic Project (PSN) under the oversight of SKK MIGAS, the development is a cornerstone of Indonesia’s long-term energy security and local industrialization efforts.

The AKM Field Development serves as the primary feedstock source for the Genting Energy FLNG—Indonesia's first large-scale Floating Liquefied Natural Gas facility. With a planned capacity of 1.2 million tonnes per annum (MTPA), the FLNG vessel is currently under construction at Wison’s shipyard. The 300 MMSCFD processed by the NUSAGASINDO facility will ensure the consistent flow required to sustain peak LNG production.
